Taught by the people whose name is on the door.
Charles and Vicki Haynes have owned Sunnyside Grooming Salon since March 2018. Charles runs the business. Vicki is the lead groomer. 36 years of grooming between them, and both still groom weekly. They don't teach from a classroom. They teach from the table.
Why they teach
Charles and Vicki learned grooming the way it is still learned best: at the table, on real dogs, with someone experienced standing beside them. After years of hiring groomers who had finished online courses and still could not hold a clipper line, they started teaching the trade themselves inside their own salon. Students work on the same client dogs the salon grooms every day, to the same standard, with Charles or Vicki correcting the small things before they become habits.

Two problems. One salon.
There aren't enough groomers who can finish a dog, and online grads have never touched a nervous 80-pound one. So the salon became the school. Students train on real client dogs, measured against the standard paying clients expect every six weeks.
